Sorry if this may sound stupid - I'm making Pesach for the first time. What do people do with all their chometz that needs to be refrigerated? Can it be sold while still in the fridge if it's in the vegetable drawer and scotch taped shut? I have lots of containers of cottage cheese for example - do I have to throw everything out?

Yes. Block it off clearly with something like silver foil. Maybe write sold on the foil.

Cottage cheese is not chumetz. If you wanna keep it separate from all pesach stuff I understand but you can surely tape off one drawer.

No problem at all. Just put a paper on the window of the drawer so you can't see the chometz.

Not being KFP and chammetz are not synonymous.

Blintzes and pizza bagels =chammetz
Breaded chicken cutlets =chammetz

Non-KFP String cheese, plain frozen brisket, frozen vegetables, (dare I say rice and peanut butter) not actually chammetz

Thanks everyone - so as long as it doesn't contain real chometz?

I do - real chametz.
I mark the drawer as chometz. Tape shut.
On my chometz life write the drawers or shelf that contain the items that are sold.
I itemize the chometz Items in the areas I’m selling and attach to my chometz list (per DHs minhag)

I doubt you need to even sell the cottage cheese. You can bag it. Mark as not for Passover use and stick in the back of the fridge.

I heard this year it’s ok to sell real chometz because you might need it after pesach. No one knows what will be the situation

Yes. Just put it all in a separate spot so nobody takes some and eats it by accident. If your minhag is to sell real chametz like frozen cookie dough or pizza bagels then make sure the spot you put aside for it is covered well so you don't see it.

You can sell real chometz too. Some people have a minhag not to sell real chometz. The rabbanim have said that this year those people should sell any real chometz they have, and not throw out this year.
