I don’t mean that no children or women have been effected, its just a much lower percentage than would have been expected. The majority of people dying from covid are male adults. This is based on what I have read, this is not my area of expertise.

Only deaths that "matter" are being reported.
No one cares about the Joe Shmoe or Yanky Panky on the street, other than his family and a small group of true friends.
And, no one cares about the criminal who died, unless he is a high-profile criminal who has made headlines either on a state level, nationwide, or internationally.
So 5,000 petty criminals can die, and you'll hear nothing of them. They simply don't "matter."
As an aside even the worst criminal is a "tzaddik" to those who love him.

I just found out that 2 residents of a group home for developmentally disabled men died of corona. No one is listing their deaths.
I don't think it's more tzadikim. They're just the ones being reported in the publications you read.

Exactly. I'm not sure what the op's question is? This is a GLOBAL pandemic and people are unfortunately dying just about all over the world. Why would anyone think it's just tzadikim?
