Anyone ever had this? I made a double chicken soup so I could freeze some for next shabbos. It cooked all day Friday & smelled delicious. On Friday night, I opened the pot cover & it smelled really strong like melted plastic. It tased like melted plastic too...ended up throwing it out. I wish I knew why this happened so it doesn't happen again. Regular pot with a glass cover...

Maybe a plastic spoon, utensil, knife, ladle fell in & melted
Is your sense of smell/taste affected from Corona maybe?

Negative to all the above questions...the only thing I can think of, but doesn't 100% make sense, is the pot cover was turned upside down so it fit into my oven...you think the knob from the cover going into the pot had anything to do with it?
