I'm expecting BH and just starting to look into super soft baby clothing.... specifically for newborns... any suggestions? (I remember petit bateau being really soft)

That's none of your business.
And I find carters pretty rough for a newborn. It gets softer after many washes but by then it's worn out.

Don't know if this is still applicable but lovelylittles.com makes beautiful super super soft items in gorgeous colors, I'm crazy about their stuff and they're very reasonably priced ( I think it might be made by ladida, not sure if thats true)
