Perfume is not edible. Therefore not chametz.

Why are you yelling? Everyone holds differently. We hold perfume isn’t chametz so I can’t help you. So one said Marc Jacobs is KLP. Maybe you hold like that, maybe you don’t. Maybe you don’t even have that perfume anyway.., Please call your rav.

My apologies.
I was not writing in capital letters because I was angry.
Rather time was of essence and I wanted a quick response.
Please don't be upset.

I hope that what I have is okay.

Don't remember others off-hand.

Perfume is not rai l'achila lekelev. It's not even a question of it's ok or not. Same goes for shampoo, soap, deodorant, detergent.
It's not food. Just like your walls, floors, furniture, toys and books and all other household stuff isn't food.

Chometz is also assur b'hana'ah, so if a perfume, shampoo, etc. containes chometz it might be problematic to use.

I'm not sure that is correct. An alcoholic will drink perfume in desperation. Therefore, it should not be chametz.

You are very wrong! That’s why it’s so dangerous when people ask shailos here which they should be asking their rabbi, and people here think they’re equipped to pasken. The alcohol in most perfumes is chometz and should not be used.

I just quarantine all my perfumes for a week.
Somehow was less painful for me to bid them goodbye this year. It's kind of in step with the prevailing zeitgeist.
Anyway, I'm feeling the lack of eggs and matzo meal much more acutely. Sad

You’re quite wrong. Please don’t give out bad info because it can cause others to stumble badly
