I am planning to use sabbath mode on my GE cafe series wall oven for the first time this yom tov and as I’ve never had sabbath mode on previous ovens, I’m not sure what’s allowed halachically.

Can I set it at 200 for yom tov and then enter in a higher temperature when I want to make food for the meal?
Can I then turn the temperature back down to 200 when I’m not cooking food?
Is there anything I’m missing?
Timely responses much appreciated!!

Not everyone holds of shabbos mode
There's more of an issue lowering the temperature than raising it

Actually, it is my understanding that most people do hold of use of the Shabbos mode. What most don't hold by is using it to change temperature on Yom Tov.

Which is what I was referring to in op's post as that's what she wanted to do.

My GE shabbos mode forgot to take care of the light. So I need to turn on the light, and keep it in before turning on shabbos mode. Please check yours.

You can lower the temperature or raise it if it’s in the sabbath mode. Practice it before yomtov so you can troubleshoot for any issues

Ok thanks, this is what I wanted to know.
I’ve already taken out the light bulb so that won’t be a problem.
