Can you please help me with your writing skills? Thanks to imamother, you gave me the idea of making a treasure hunt for my kids. We’re doing other games too, but my older kids are going to take care of those. Like the way I’m taking care of the my part, I’m asking you Wink ?

Anyway, I need 2-4 lines written in preferably rhyming for the following clues. If any of the places sound strange it’s because we’re not home, but in a place that’s like a hotel, but not and we’re the only ones here. Thank you so very much in advance!!!!

Potatoes
Exercise room which also has a men’s mikva, but empty
Room where extra pesach things are, lke milk, matza, and plastic goods
Maagen dovid ash tray
Shul
Dining room
Living room, specifically couch
Arcade that’s from the 80’s or 90’s
Linen closet, but it’s shelves, not actually a closet
Their rooms, specifically bed

The treasure also needs to be written because I don’t actually have anything to give now. Should be something like since we’re in quarantine we can’t get anything and we’ll have to see after and by then, maybe we’ll all forget about it Wink .

It should be somewhat difficult because it should take some time and most are teens or older.

Thank you soooooo much!!!!!!

Potatoes
Careful as you look
Walk, don't dash
Your next clue's near something
that's whole, not a mash

Exercise room which also has a men’s mikva, but empty
Good luck with finding
Your very next clue
Though not meant for swimming
You can do that there too

Room where extra pesach things are, lke milk, matza, and plastic goods
Uh oh, your next clue
has been put away
Check where we store things
Do not delay

Maagen dovid ash tray
If you figure this out
You're truly a star
If not, don't let out smoke
We still love you as you are

Shul
To find this clue
you need lots of emunah
So go grab a siddur
Daven with kavana

Dining room
After all this searching
You'll want to eat
But save the munching
Until your hunt is complete

Living room, specifically couch
If your legs are tired
Don't be a grouch
Simply take a seat
Relax, and slouch

Arcade that’s from the 80’s or 90’s
Before computers had games
In each house, long ago
To play electronics
We'd all have to go

Linen closet, but it’s shelves, not actually a closet
Brr. It's cold
I could use a blanket
Can you bring one to me
Can you go and take it

Their rooms, specifically bed
You've done very well
It's been a sweet dream
Close your eyes
And I'll tuck you een

I love doing these!..This is on the fly, so refine as needed.

1. Hi! I can be baked, or mashed or fried
To find a clue, just look inside (or beside)

2. We've eaten lots, so break a sweat
And find the clue near a place that could be wet

3. It's extra fun to play this game
So find the next clue where extra things remain.

4. Now you're smoking! You're a star!
The next clue's where the six points are.

5. Shh! Find a place where it's assur to chat
And look around, where's that next clue at?

6. What a success! It's quite an omen.
Now look near where we ate the afikomen.

7. Our game's almost done! No time to slouch.
So don't relax when you look on the.....

8. You're bouncing around all over the place!
So look around a playing space.

9. Where would you go for sheets that are clean?
(Hint: it's not the washing machine).

10. Amazing! Now look where these items go.
Be patient! Look from head to toe.

Mazel tov! You've solved the clues
This year, we might have virus blues
But come to us; let's have a shmooze,
And we'll discuss what prize we'll choose.

Kuddos to you for making a treasure hunt for your kids!
Your kids will enjoy it so much more if they get something at the end of the hunt.
Even smthg small like a chocolate bar or a word search where they need to find their own name!!
(I did that before Pesach, was a big hit! They had to find their name and a nickname!)
Also, the game doesn't have closure if there is no end.

Thank you both so much!!!!

I did forget one place that I wanted to add, the women’s bathroom. Sounds weird, but it’s not.

bathroom
In Hebrew, a taxi
Is confused with this room
A location for ladies
When they need to groom

I agree with Dreamer about at least giving something small now like chocolate. They should feel that they were looking for treasure, and not just looking for the sake of looking.

Thank you all! We did it yesterday and they had a great time!! It took about half an hour. It might have taken longer if I knew how to keep my mouth shut, but I was afraid they would get too restless, so I might have nudged here and there, but I don’t think too much. Only one kid was disappointed about the lack of prize in the end, but he got over it very quickly. He’s 17 Smile .
