Being thrown in to the zoom world.
Does anyone have any guidance for online teaching? Not videos or webinars, I can't do those.

Would you want to watch someone.
There is a night Seder America - a rebbe is running a zoom learning program. for 900+ boys nightly.
He is so engaging and interactive and my boys love it - they wait for it nightly. He interacts with many kids. Muting and unmuting constantly. It’s highly interactive and he is teaching real skills in Gemara.
It’s a skill to do it but maybe if you watch someone like that it would help.
His program is more fun then the typical classroom but I think a lot of his methods would translate well to a zoom classroom.

Maybe you can call him and ask if you can watch.

It's kind of hard to tell without showing. I learned very quickly from some really nice videos/webinars, like 15 minutes on Youtube. It was a while ago but if you're interested I can try to find it.

What will you be teaching?
I've had success showing a PowerPoint. There are tools you can use on zoom to write on it etc. Great way to show visuals.

He uses zoom. He’s an eighth grade rebbe in Passaic so he does this every day in real life too (and is obviously amazing at it)
