when filling out the unemployment forms, it asks if you want them to withhold ten percent for federal taxes and also if they should withhold 2.5% for state taxes.
what do you choose?

You will have to pay taxes on unemployment. The question is if you want more $ now and have to pay the taxes at the end of 2020 or if you are willing to take a less money now and know you are covered in the taxes owed from unemployment.
