Birchas Gomel after childbirth, with no minyanim

Is this not done these days like many other things?

Also, I may be wrong, but I vaguely remember hearing something about it being unsafe for a woman to be alone or go anywhere alone before saying gomel or barchu. Don’t remember details but it makes me uneasy. We’re not really going anywhere but occasionally my husband has to go out, or what if I need to go out myself to appointments etc.

Is there any basis to this?

I never heard about benching gomel.
I do not go out before hearing borchi.
I think this is common practice. (Chassidish).

My niece, upon the advice of her rav, benched gomel on Zoom at the naming of her baby. AYLOR.
