I mean useful skills or applied knowledge or talents or crafts...anything that gives wisdom.

For me, creativity is big in self confidence and freedom to explore the worls. Being brave to try new mediums and free style instead of a teacher just telling me to do what she wanted.

Languages. So easy to learn when you're young but so difficult when you're an adult.

I wish I learned to read, write, and speak Hebrew. It would have been a game changer for all of my Limudei Kodesh years, and for learning and davening for a lifetime.

I wish I learned how to clean a house. It doesn't come naturally to me, and I still can't do it well.

On the same token, I wish I learned how to delegate. It is hard for me to delegate any kind of work to others, including household help and service workers. The relationship feels so unbalanced and awkward to me, and I never saw it done enough to learn how to handle it properly. (My mother never had cleaning help.)

Yes, yes, yes!
Also social etiquette skills/social norms. I come from a family of people on the spectrum, and there was nobody to teach me these things. I still struggle terribly with this.

I second learning to read, write and speak Hebrew. I'd personally have loved to have learned Yiddish too. Alas, I wasn't born Jewish so that was never high on the agenda.

For life as a SAHM I wish I'd learned
- how to sew and mend clothes
- household finance management and life skills for frugal living
- healthy eating, how to plan and prepare family meals

Also to develop a well rounded person, I think it's important to study grammar and be able to write articulately. Also public speaking and debate.

I don't see any need to teach any more than basic math. I wasted so much time on such nonsense. If someone needs it for their profession later in life (and very few actually do) it should just be added to their curriculum rather than making everyone suffer.

How to swim
More languages
How to sew WELL
How to play piano and guitar
How to do basic home repairs

I do know how to sew but haven’t the patience for dressmaking and therefore am not good at it. That’s really a matter of practice and personality not education.

And how to draw. And sight- read music
