So I’ll admit I’m a sucker for romance. I’m going through a lot now in life and I like to escape with a good movie. But the romantic movies basically follow the same pattern. Woman meets man, then something happens and the last five minutes they have their romantic moment. I’d love to watch something that’s full of romance throughout. Something engaging. Not just waiting for the moment and then when it happens the movie is over. It could b comedy or not. Any recommendations? Oh and I don’t hv Netflix or Hulu. Only Amazon prime and can’t afford to pay for a movie. Please help! Tia

Penelope.
Just checked, and it's on prime.
A bit quirky, but very sweet and romantic. Very feel good.

All at Once
Bridget Jones's Diary
There are dozens, you can search by genre and filter by prime. Most look dumb, though, tbh. But I've seen both of those and can vouch that they are enjoyable movies.
If you like BBC period stuff, there are also several Jane Austen adaptations like Pride and Prejudice etc

I watched those 2 already too, liked both of them, ty. I should start a challenge thread to find a Prime movie I didn't see. TMI

Maybe you'd have more luck finding a tv show.
Have you ever watching Made in Heaven? About a pair of wedding planners setting up weddings in India. I really liked it. Not such a typical show. Mostly in English but a bit of subtitles. It's not a reality show, it's a drama.

ETA: it's a bit old, from the 90s but I saw it not long ago and liked it: Thousand Pieces of Gold. Historical, based on a true story. A movie with Chris Cooper.

Now that you issued a challenge lol, I tried to do some digging for you. Let's see if this helps you out:

There are additional free imbd movies on prime, just with ads (you will see them listed if you keep scrolling down on the Amazon video homescreen):

From those options, I strongly recommend

Stand By Me
A League of Their Own
The Deep End of the Ocean (not as good as the first two, but still pretty good)

(They aren't necessarily romances but all very good movies I have watched a few times, and that still hold up. Definitely classics, and not in an old movie classic type of way. Real crowd pleasers and the first 2 will probably make a lot of movie fans top ten list. Very feel good.

As far as Thousand Pieces of Gold, it's pretty slow moving especially the beginning. But I ended up really liking the slow burn of the romance. But I can see it might not be up your alley if you prefer more contemporary romances.
