Does anyone have any info on this, I listened into a podcast on ADHD in children and when the therapist mentioned DMDD I nearly fell off my chair since I think 10 y o DD is finally making a lil sense under DMDD. I tried googling but not much came up.
Anyone?

It is sometimes the diagnosis given to children who will later officially be diagnosed as bipolar once the are fully developed.
Is there a family history of mental issues?

someone I know had that diagnosis but didn’t get better with therapy or medication. Turns out it was misdiagnosed pandas and Lyme disease. The kid has made a major turnaround since treating those infections.
