OP, have you tried TCS? They don’t accept everyone, but they’re easier to get into than others schools. It is an excellent school. Not yeshivish or chassidish, but you said you don’t mind.

I haven’t. Do you know what TCS stands for so I can look up the phone number?

There are schools in manalapan I know ppl send to and are very happy. |
I keep on hearing this sentiment. There isn't a single cheder in Toms River!
If you are referring to Tiferes Yechiel which is a new cheder that opened this year, they are in Lakewood but have some/ many students from Toms River, as do many other chedarim.
It's chassidish/ heimish. The Rebbes teach and communicate in Yiddish.

Out of town the kind of minute differentiation that I read on these threads simply couldn't exist because the schools would literally have one or two children for each school |
And the kids grow up fine - maybe even better than the kids who go to schools where everyone is exactly alike. So what does that tell you?

It’s true.
But taking oot schools as an example is hard in a big town.
I went to by if Baltimore. The entire elementary school was the size of Bais faiga primary.
(Not really - but by Baltimore has about 120 kids per grade, bnos yisroel 40. So that is 160 kids per grade of girls. Bais faiga alone has 250. And there are over 20 by schools. At least 2 others with over 200 per grade. It’s hard to compare communities of such diff sizes. )
