wooden bais hamikdosh kit sounds awesome, where can I get such a thing?

Do you mean like this, find out what stores near you sell from a&m Judaica, they could then get it in for you. My store sells it, if you pm me I can help you

I just bought my son a paint by number picture on Amazon. It was very detailed (there are all levels). I honestly didn’t think he would have patience to complete it but he did. He worked on it for a few hours each day with music playing in the background. It took him about 10 days. We framed it and he feels good about himself!
We also bought him some instruments and since he is very musical he is able to learn how to play by watching online tutorials.

Wow. These suggestions are amazing.
I also want to mention that last week's Mishpacha - Family First and Jr. - had a number of great ideas.

A model car or plane those are very detailed and then you paint them
My kids have been doing perler beads not the regular fill boards up with but following grids they print online they are making characters but if you're not into that and other things that they can make also if you are creative enough I am sure you can figure out how to make Jewish theme ones. I bought them bags of pre sorted colors after they used up what we had and they make square boards that connect together to make a bigger boards.
Wood working kits are fun .
Origami could be fun to learn how to make and time consuming.

If you're OK with a mess in the kitchen, its a great age to do baking. My 11 yr old was crazy bored, and I had him make oatmeal cookies (his favorite) by himself. He had to measure, follow directions, use the mixer, etc. And everyone complimented the end result!
