Every Shavuos I have the same question (and don't remember what I did the year before.) I have 1 oven that I can kasher back and forth between fleishig and milchig to prepare various dishes. How do I warm up the milchig main dish on yom tov? I assume I will leave the oven fleishig for yom tov? Or should I? (This year being Shabbos and not using my oven on Shabbos does throw things off....

I don’t leave an oven on at all. I use a (good old fashioned) blech over 2 burners.

I use my oven for both, but I know people that use a toaster oven or a hot plate. I happen to like using a hot plate in general because I don’t like keeping the oven on if I can avoid it.

Either double wrap, or heat ontop of a blech, or I make things that I can finish assembling on YT in a frying pan (ex: frying the blintzes, heating premade vodka sauce to pour over premade pasta etc).

My hot plate is fleishigs. Do you know if I can double wrap and place my dairy on a hot plate?

I put three sheets of silver foil (though two sheets is enough) and then the milichig things. You have to make sure it's completely dry between the layers.
