Gratin dauphinois:
Slice potatos thinly (under 1 mm, preferably in food processor)
Slice mushrooms thinly (if you don't like mushrooms, leave them out)

In an oven dish pour a little bit of cream.
one layer of potatoes, add salt and pepper and nutmeg (if you like)
one layer of mushrooms (if you like them)
cover with cream.
Go on till dish is full.
on top:
Mix 3 eggs, 1/4 l cream, grated cheese, salt, peppper, (soup powder)
Put some more grated cheese on top.

Bake in oven for 30 min...

At the same time, you ccan bake one slice of salmon...

Salmon in water: (that's good for cooking on Yomtov)

Put lemon & salt on salmon

Heat up water till cooks, with salt, bay leaves, lemon
Put salmon in (not frozen)
Turn heat off.
Let it in hot water for 10-15 min.

Salmon in oven with veggies and potatoes

Cut potatoes in 1/4 or 1/8 (lengthwise) drip oil on them (no salt! salt only after baking!!!)
Put on oven sheet with baking paper... leave half of oven sheet empty, you will add fish & veggies after 20 min.

Marinade salmon in lemon, add salt, paprika
put in oven dish.
add soy sauce
put slices of peperoni and onions on top.
Fill the rest of oven dish with veggies in different colours (diced zucchini, whole mushrooms, diced pumpkin, brussels sprouts cut in half, sliced bell peppers)

Put in oven with potatoes after 20 min, bake for 20 more minutes...

Actually, a single slice of salmon can cook very well directly on the platta. I discovered this one week when I was in a really bad mood and wasn't interested in cooking.

Take the salmon out of the freezer and put it on a sheet of baking paper. Add seasoning or sauce as desired. Close baking paper, overlapping edges and doing your best to make sure its tightly sealed. Wrap in foil for extra security. Put it on a hot platta and leave it for an hour or so. (Actually it doesn't really matter how long. The platta is a gentle heat, and being wrapped so well it doesn't dry out. Just make sure that it is fully cooked before you eat.)

Also, disposable muffin cups are ideal for warming up a single potion of food. Either foil or paper ones. They come in a few sizes, so you can adjust the portion size you want.

These aren't available, nor pie shells or gnocchi Sad

Gnocchi can be made from scratch. We used to make farmer cheese gnocchi (aka ленивые вареники) all the time. So are the pie shells. Or lust go crust-less. In our family we prefer it this way.

Just a thought can you make a picnic somewhere close
Maybe another couple will also go and each of you stay 6 ft away on your own blanket with masks
Just a thought so you are not so lonely
Or go on your own and ppl watch- I love ppl watching. I make up stories in my mind of who they are and what they do (spies, art theif, royalty)

Would you be interested in making mozzarella? It's not difficult ,and gives more options.

Could you please share it?
We only have ultra-pasteurized milk and no access to rennet
