I aLways stay home for every y”t. I’m not married long at all, and I just had baby #2.
This yr I am so so so so grateful and relieved that I actually have a good, solid excuse not to go to my abusive parents yayayayayayayayayay!!!! Guilt trips finally excluded woohoo!
Yes, I made Pesach (not the first time) with a tiny baby, zero help even from dh, and a HUGE smile on my face. Can’t wait for shavuos!

Thanks for all the responses! My father and my husband already got the virus before pesach.. I went for an antibody test a few days ago so maybe I will wait for the reaults and then decide what to do for shavuos.

If you did your test with bikur cholim you should have your results. My husband and I took the test and he came back positive and I came back negative. We were not staying apart when he was not feeling the greatest.

The minhag in Lakewood always was parents go to their kids for shavous.
It’s the shver yom tov. Wink

It’s the first time in 15 yrs my parents aren’t coming to me. It’s not safe for them to out even when things open up.

I think everyone has to decide with their dr, their parent’s dr and community norms (if city put out note the ppl shouldn’t come then ppl should listen)

Never heard of that. I’m glad we don’t “keep” that one.

I'm guessing she used the word "minhag" tongue in cheek, because the young men who are in yeshiva don't want to go away for Shavuos so the parents will come to them.
