Hi. I just got approved for Snap benefits. Since it's so close to the end of the month Can anyone that knows tell me if I have to use it up by the end of this month or I will lose it or does it roll over to the next month?
Thank you.

Actually at some point it stops rolling over (maybe after a year?) so it's not indefinite.

Maybe state dependent?

In NY it rolls over. I have a client who accumulated over $1000 in unused benefits until someone stepped in and helped them use it.

I live in NY anf get snap and was told there is some point it stops rolling over. I don't want to post wrong information but it's well possible to accumulate more than 1 thousand dollars in less than 1 year depending how much the person uses. If I recall, I think after 12 months anything that was deposited to the account over 12 months ago disappears while the rest of the funds under a year old still say.
Please double check though and don't quote me on this as I am not 100% sure of the details of how it works.
Pretty sure month to month before a year it should roll over though which was OP's question originally.

In ny, snap benefits expire after 1 year. Before that, they roll over into the next month.
