When the corono started I thought my self employment jobs would disappear so I applied and got onto Medicaid and food stamps.
I got a fancy letter saying as soon as my income goes over ___ I must inform them.
But my self employment comes and goes.
Does anyone know the legality? how do I tell them in April I made over, but in may I didn't.
Online there is just a start and end date.

It's super difficult when you're self employed!
Call them and ask. But the answer might depend on the intelligence and the kindness of the person answering the phone!
For medicaid we never had a problem as long as annual income was the same or less than what we wrote.
Food stamps is different and we ended not getting it because the little they would give us was not worth the stress of getting paper work together!

When we first got on, we were told $44/month.
But because of covid, it jumped to $1000 for a month.

They're giving max to everyone now as long as you qualify, no matter your income.
