Ok I know this is a long shot because I don’t know any words to the song! Does anyone know of a slow English song about Shira - it had to do with dovid hamelech waking up to the strings of the harp playing. Just can’t remember it all and would love to teach it to my kids for shavous. If anyone even knows a line that would be helpful.

In the king's palace, not one single sound is heard,
Just the wind blowing on the violin strings
(though I think it's supposed to be a harp)
Dovid HaMelech....something
awakens, starting to sing?
Dovid Hamelech, .....

I remember the first verse going something like this:
In the kings palace, not one single sound is heard,
Just the wind blowing on the harp’s strings.
This then ___ (?) the king in the midst of sleep,
Then he awakened and started to sing.
David Hamelech, how are you bearing
All that you’re hearing
So many tears.
Hearts that are breaking,
So bitterly aching,
All we’ve been taking for thousands of years.
David David, melech Yisrael, reach for your tehillim, play us your song...
(The second half of chorus is something about beis Hamikdash I think?)
If I find the rest of the words, I’ll post then when I have time.
