Bring lots of gloves. This way you can change them often - any time you switch from public areas to private.

Sanitizing wipes for bathroom usage. Or to wipe down your tray, arm rest, window, suites if someone else handles it, etc.

You can get a plastic face shield but I’d think that would be very uncomfortable during the flight.

What airline are you flying with?
Look them up and see what restrictions and precautions they are implementing.
I know most airlines are now blocking off middle seats to allow for less interaction and are at less than half capacity

Any chance you can drive? Personally I would not feel comfortable flying from Florida to New York these days.

Some airlines claim they'll block off middle seats, but then don't if the flight is too crowded. Check Jetblue's policy on that. If you must go, the key isn't anything you take now, but what protective measures you take at the airport and on the plane. The more PPE, the better.

Probably because the virus can enter through the eyes - especially in a situation where there is a long period of time spant in en enclosed environment. There is increasing evidence that viral load increases chances of infection. That is why guidelines rank which kinds of activities are safer - e.g. being outside and socially distancing versus being inside. The size of the enclosed space would also have an impact - e.g. less likely to be contaminated in a large area like a big box store or grocery store versus a smaller enclosed space like a small store or elevator or airplane cabin.

There was an interview with a doctor last week who contracted Covid on an airplane flight and he followed alll precautions in terms of mask except his eyes were exposed and he believes that this is how the virus entered his body.

I believe this is what Amarante is referring to, and is part of the reason I said that as much as I love traveling, I would not feel safe flying right now, especially on a route like FLL-JFK:

The face shield doesn’t replace the mask, it’s in addition to the mask.
Also, make sure you are wearing a proper mask, not a surgical mask or cloth mask

Calm down first of all.

I flew last week. The whole thing is very safe.

The air on the plane is filtered. No more then 1 family per row on the airplane. Everyone with masks. All lines in the airports are marked 6 feet apart.
