tefila where do you live?
I'm in Cleveland where it's more reasonable than say, Los Angeles, where we DID live. Our twins are not even a year old yet and I'm already thinking that tuition is the reason we're probably going to stop at 2 kids. I'd love more, but.... paying two even CLOSE to full tuitions is going to be ridiculous.

The only and I repeat only 2 disadvantages with this place is that we have a good five/six months of cold, cold weather however cars, busses and schools and stores still run and are open.
And a bit far from alot of citys
It has 5 kosher mikvoas since some rich fam own them in their home instead of a spa, ( no not us )
there is a litvish sephardi style kollel a kosher bakery, pizza store, kosher food selection, shuls kollel ,chabad , BI.
Approx 5000 jews,
still interested Pm me twinsmommy.

Sarahd I know that it sounds strange but originally the founders/sponsors who are themselves sephardim wanted it sephardi but as the years progressed it has brought more ashkenzim and litvish guys in with less sephardim.
Basically it's abit of a chulent pot also it's partly outreach too.
However the kollel here has benefits like no other guaranteed at one point I was thinking of joining but I didn't feel that I fit the criteria

These places where they'll send you to public school if you can't pay, is that everywhere? Or just in NYC where I imagine they have long waiting lists?
Do you think this mindset applies even in Baltimore, Cleveland, or Denver?

b"H I'm not in the parsha yet, and b"H I live in E"Y for now.
I just have one question.
Obviously, everyone is shocked and enraged over the crazy high tuitions. However, very few ppl here are able to give a breakdown of how their schools are spending their money. If the tuition committee is so nosy as to look at your W-2's, why doesn't anyone go to their school and say, hey I'm paying 10,000 a year tuition, how are you spending MY money that I give YOU? and get some simple financial breakdown. Has anyone tried this?

Pardon my ignorance. How much is 25k?
$2500 sounds quite low for tuition per year
$25,000 per child is ridiculous, can't be
25k per month? per year?

What yeshivos in New Jersey charge $25,000 PER CHILD?
I've heard of high tuitions like 10,000 - 15,000 a year, but 25,000?! Why send your children there?
