Tsofia Maya

Maya can represent the flowers on Har Sinai which were only there in honor of the Torah which miraculously “watered” them. :-)

Beautiful suggestion!

Not the op... but I think that if I have a girl (going to wait to find out gender until the baby is born) then we are going to name her tzofiya malka. Thanks for all the great ideas everyone.

No not yet!

Was wondering if Tsofia is pronounced with 3 syllables (tso fi ya) then would another 3 syllable name sound too much of a mouthful?

I think its pronounced tzo- fya, 2 syllables, and it would go well with a 3 syllable middle name, like tehilla, nechama, menucha etc...

It's 3 syllables. There is a chirik under the phey.
So it's Tso-fi-ya.

Why do you need a middle name?

We named our daughter Tsofia Miriam.

Tsofia also means gazing or looking ahead and Miriam has the koach to look ahead past the difficult circumstances and know that Hashem was bringing great things...

I know a Tsofia with a 3 syllable middle name. Sounds pretty to me.

It’s such a pretty name! As an aside - I think that spelling it with a tz rather than a ts will make it more likely for people who aren’t familiar with the name to pronounce it correctly
