Sigh. We're being punished for our arrogance, that we paused and planned and counted and checked instead of simply working and building up Eretz Yisrael. עלה נעלה.
This week, after years of forbidding building any such road, the municipality finally paved the back road which connects Itamar's hilltops nearly all the way to Gitit. Everyone lauded the wonderful news, how easy it would be to cut down to the valley now. But I couldn't help sighing that it was the beginning of the end.
It's time to shift our game plan, or we're going to lose a lot more.
