Cook orzo like noodles, drain.
Buy frozen bag of ready cut 3 color pepper- saute with oil, salt and black pepper.
Mix orzo and vegetable.
Add onion soup mix, bake on 350° for 10 minutes.

I recently made orzo salad that was super easy and a big hit
Boil orzo as usual and let cool
Add avocado, red onion, spinach, tomatoes, cilantro, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives - originally I was going to also add feta cheese but we were out and dh couldn't find kosher feta but feta would probably be nice as well but it was fine without
For dressing I mixed together
Olive oil
salt, pepper, and garlic powder
the juice of 1 lemon
a little bit of honey
I just put everything for the dressing in a jar and shook it up and tossed with the rest of the orzo salad

Has anyone ever added cheese to this? Or have an easy cheesy baked orzo recipe? I’d like one I can prep beforehand, refrigerate then bake when ready if possible.

I had a recipe for an orzo ziti, but I no longer do. Google. I liked it but was outvoted so it's not part of the roster.

I think it should work fine if you added in cheese but never tried it myself.

It look like a great recipe.
Can you miss out the first stage (to brown the orzo in a skillet) and just put the raw orzo in the foil container?

It tastes better toasted. You can probably toast it in the oven first to save a pot. I don't even bother boiling the broth.
