Take a course with some real life projects. Unfortunately Michal Eiskovitz's yearly CopyTribe class just started but there are others.

This isn't an official part-time job, but you can earn some side cash on usertesting.com where you offer feedback on different websites for $10 per site. I've done it so I can assure you it's not a scam!
