I’ve been interested in moving to Lakewood/tr/ Jackson from ny for a little while just starting initial househunting and pre-qualification for mortgage. Noticing a lot of people posting here that they are moving to these areas. So wondering what all you people did as far as your jobs? Are you planning on commuting? Job hunting first? Househunting 1st?

Def job comes first.. There are plenty of houses... Jobs in the other hand would need to pay for the houses.

House hunting first.
Now I am looking for a job.
Lots of neighbors I have still commute to NY.
But I am looking for a job here in NJ now

I think one spouse has to have a definite plan before you house hunt-someone’s gotta pay those mortgage payments!
My husband can work from anywhere and with my job I told my boss once we found a house. He let me work from home but had they not I would’ve found a job pretty easily in my field here.
