Went out the window the moment the mayor supported riots and protests.
Also, our taxes pay for the public parks. Its not private property.

I'm not opening the link. But I did hear about his being German, changing his name, and also that his father was such a piece of work that he would lav davka repudiate anything his father stood for. Is that what the link implies?
ETA: I get the need for this civil disobedience but it's still discomfiting. Then again I remember something I heard from David Olesker, who does hasbara. He said that other national anthems are all about trampling on the blood of the enemies, valor in war, etc. Israel's? To be a free nation in our own daled amos and please leave us alone, we won't bother anyone.
So this is how Jews do civil disobedience: we open playgrounds.
