When I had covid, I used a forehead thermometer, an ear thermometer, and a good old fashioned mercury thermometer. Forehead and ear said I had only a low-grade fever; mercury said 104.

Maybe the mercury was wrong? 104 means hospitalization. Did you go to the hospital?

Mercury is always accurate.

During the height of the covid crisis, only people who had trouble breathing went to the hospital. I actually did spend a day in the ER, but was not admitted.
