We lucked out with Amazing Savings "natives" the last couple of years but the next size up is too big/wide (figures, the one time I was smart enough to buy extra for the future... I think I am never going to win at this Banging head )

Need something that the kid can get on and off easily, preferably water-friendly. The natives that fit were basically perfect. The real natives brand is always too wide for her, only this specific fake one fit and now it doesn't anymore.

Keens and the like are always way too boxy/wide. I am talking really skinny feet.

As a backup plan I'd take velcro sneaker recommendations. Slip on sneakers we've tried so far are more like slip-offs, and the loose fit causes blister-level rubbing. She's in kid sizes and a lot of velcro styles only come in toddler sizes.

Thanks in advance for your help and support. I think I post something along these lines every 6 months or so - like I said, I am not winning this. Oh and she doesn't have Shabbos shoes this season, either. I tried a whole bunch online but ended up just having her go barefoot a la Covid. Worked acceptably for Pesach and Shavuos but now that we've been venturing out a little more... and she's at this age where she would rather be a miserable couch potato indoors than show her face in public wearing weekday shoes on Shabbos (I tried pushing it once. There were many tears and regrets. We did not even meet a single Shabbos-observant well-dressed person on our outing. I guess it's the principle.)

Oh PS just to level up the challenge I think she's a half-size. Though I'm counting on the fact that different brands' sizing runs differently so hopefully she will fit into SOMETHING normal one of these days. Right now everything 2 is too small and everything 3 is huge and most things don't come in 2.5 and whatever does, so far what we've tried is too wide or uncomfortable or something or other. At wits end

I just bought at Designer Spot. The have imitation natives that fit on my narrow footed kids. And the price-$5 can’t be beat.

Geox has sneakers that work for narrow feet. Something like this has a side zipper and velcro so you do not have to tie/untie the laces. They also have European proper sizes (half sizes included). Follow their size chart.

Have you ever tried Prime Wardrobe? They take your credit card and hold onto it - allow you to have a box of $300 worth of PW items shipped to you. You have 7 days from when they arrive to go online and choose which items you're keeping and they only charge you for those items then. They send along a prepaid return label so you don't have to print anything out for the return. It might help you get to know sizing of brands.

Target was much too wide and then they wouldn't process my return so I'm stuck with a pair each of natives and sneakers that I paid for and can't use. That was last year.

I see ads for Amazon wardrobe but I don't get the point. If I order things the regular way it's also free returns but I get 30 days to get around to it rather than 7.

Amazon brand was too wide last year.

Maybr I'll try geox. They're so expensive but I need the madness to end.

I don't live near designer spot.

Keep trying though?!!

For me Prime Wardrobe was nice because I was able to try multiple brands and sizes at a time without feeling bad about the charge on the credit card. We kept 1 item that worked and that's what I got charged for. No refunds needed.

Ok. I don't worry too much about the credit card because I'm going to return everything I don't need well before the statement is due. I'm just not 7 days worth of efficient.

Keds is great for kids with narrow feet.
These are really nice if you like laces.

There are beautiful options for velcro too.

Thanks, I never saw velcro keds! Of course they don't have my half-size but I'll try what they have and keep looking... I wonder why they don't have a cushioned heel. Most keds do. At least in the olden days they did.

Which size are you looking for?

Somewhere between 2 and 3. Logic would suggest that means 2.5 but so far nothing in any size seems to fit.

Skechers Guzman look like natives but have an elastic back, that may help them stay on better.

DICKS sporting goods has an imitation native that comes in half sizes. A note about these, we found them to run huge, dd who is currently a 3 in shoes ended up keeping the 1 in these.

I like these Velcro sneakers https://www.keds.com/en/ace-3v.....art=1

It’s so funny, your daughter must have the exact same feet as mine, we have the exact same issues with shoes, whenever you post about your shoe shopping woes I’m like, hey that’s exactly us.

ETA these might work for your kid cuz they’re elastic

And these cuz they’re sock style https://www.hoofamily.com/prod.....53315

2 more that may work

These aren't as narrow as Keds but they aren't wide and they hold a narrow foot because of the velcro. True to size, so no weird sizing issues. There are no laces to tie.

My daughter has super skinny feet and walks right out of everything. Crocs makes water shoes similar to natives that worked for her. I would link it for you but hard to do from my phone. I can do it later from computer, if you want to see.
