I'm guessing you meant chalav yisroel and did not intend to suggest that most formula is treif. But it came out wrong. Perhaps you could fix the thread title.

I had no idea that major brands were kosher because of nursing, so maybe OP didn’t know either.

I nursed too, but the formula was on the supermarket shelves next to the diapers, so I noticed the OU.

Pretty much all the formula sold in the USA is kosher. Cy is a different story.

If you want chalav yisrael, a kosher shop. A lot of people seem to like materna which is a lot of money in the USA (its not FDA approved).

Try www.formula-depot.com. They have all varieties including Cholov yisroel

Mehadrin has cholov yisroel similac.
Kendamil and Materna are also cholov yisroel.
