Everyone keeps saying that the reason social distancing doesn't make sense anymore in NY is because of herd immunity.
Now, that argument likely holds some weight. But, then how does it work when people are joining camps from all different states together? Camps which are only running from Mon - Thurs, and then everyone is going to spend Shabbos somewhere and then come back together again?
I understand that regular sleepaway camp would be less risky. But, that's not happening. So how are our community leaders advocating for these new arrangements? Why is no one warning of the danger?
This is a recipe for disaster.
