Where do you have the most mazel getting clothes? I do very well at Kohl’s and Old Navy for tops. Sometimes find stuff at Marshalls/TJ Maxx but very hit or miss. JC Penney used to have good staples but the last 10 years or so hasn’t. Curious where other people go. For reference, we’re yeshivish and on a budget. Simple regular dressers and not overly into trends.

Honestly? Goodwill has had some of the best clothing I've ever gotten.

The trick is to shop in a high income neighborhood, because they don't move the donations very far from the place where they are dropped off. The better clothes stay right in the community.

I found it's worth it to drive out to an exclusive neighborhood that has a small store, than to be in a lower income neighborhood that has a warehouse full of things that may or may not be ripped and stained. I've gotten occasional bargains from the warehouse stores, but it takes me a LOT longer to find them.

Macy's website is great. You can narrow your searches (midi skirt, pleated skirt...) And filter your options very well, and they always have stuff in similar styles to what's 'in' in the frum world. Easy returns, too.

For shabbos clothes, if you're willing to go through the hassle - Shein. Best prices and pretty current on the styles
For tshirts/casual I like Old Navy, Target, Marshalls
Basic skirts I find at Macys or Kohls

I also like Macy's. They often have big sales too. And Target sometimes. I've also found a lot at dress barn- shabbos clothing, skirts, they recently closed their brick stores in my area but still have website.

I do best in Marshall's - plenty of tops.

I got some over the knee black skirts in Macy's - those are hard to find.

Usually I have to get skirts in Jewish stores but can find tops in Dept. Stores.

Boruch Hashem for Shells!
