If I recently had dental work, I know I personally would feel responsible to get tested so I could inform the dentists office if I was CH”V positive for corona. They need to know, they were working in your mouth.

Why is it most likely something else? Most other viruses which cause fever don't circulate in the summer. While it may very well not be corona, there's a big chance it is and OP should get tested to find out.

From the CDC:
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
This list does not include all possible symptoms. CDC will continue to update this list as we learn more about COVID-19.

Never meant she shouldn't test. Considering the situation now anyone who suspects should test isolate etc. I'm just allaying her fears saying it likely is something else just statistically speaking.

OP, please test for covid. In the event you are positive, people you were exposed to need to know...if they have an at risk parent etc they'll need to stay away...
