We are going to be quarentining for the next month with my sister and her family due to medical reasons. We're thinking up ideas to keep the kids entertained, and one idea that really captured the kids imagination is to put on a play. Now we need a script!

Anyone know where we can print out a script for a short, child friendly play? It doesn't have to have any Jewish content.

I didn't read through the plays, but these sites had some scripts:

http://www.chinuch.org/topic/1.....Skits - has a Pirkei Avos skit

https://www.dramanotebook.com/.....ooks/ - random children's skits

Good luck! This is such a creative idea! Smile

I don't have any suggestions, I just had to comment that that is the cutest idea!
So like Little Women! And Little Men (probably more appropriate from what I remember of your posts).

Enjoy!!

I qgree that you can let the kids come up with their own ideas. Take a step back and let their creative juices flow.
Let go of things and let them happen organically.
You’ll be surprised at how much they can create on their own.

Your a great momma and I love all your ideas!

Good morning everyone!

Of course they could write their own play, but for this very grand event I've been recruited to help them find a 'real play'. They want a script!

Thanks for posting those web sites, I'm going to browse through them!

Any other ideas would be most welcome!!

Why not ask the kids what type of genre or play they are interested in. That will at least help narrow your search.

No idea what it is, but I believe the last Harry Potter book which is not written by J.K. Rowling is written in play form.

And for many fans. It absolutely destroyed the books. And lots consider it not cannon. Bc it violates so many rules that were set in the original books.

No clue, never read any of them including that one. Didn’t see any of the movies either except parts of the first one.

Ah. Well it is very controversial in the fandom. Plus I just remembered there are some plot points that maybe some parents would object to some kids sensitivities

Another idea is to have them record the play and then use video editing software to turn it into a video.
At the beginning of the lockdown my kids did this. They loved it and had a great time sharing with family and friends.

You could also look into doing music videos. My sons go to camp ruach chaim and it’s an extra activity to put together a music video and the boys love it.
