I am looking to start doing paint nights; going to events or homes. I have done art lessons with charging , and a few paint nights for family or for chessed without charging. I would start out relatively cheap since I never charged for paint night before. I am a teacher during the year, so I would want to do it in the summer when I have more free time. (Especially nine days I know there is usually a demand for it.)
So I have a few questions:
Do you think anyone would be interested this summer if it’s small groups and I come to them?
If yes what’s the best way to let people know about it (I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money on advertising)
Also, what is a typical average price? (I would charge a little lower)

I think people would be interested. Everyone is looking to be entertained somehow and there are so few options.

I know someone who started a new business where he brings the restaurant to your house and so far hes pretty successful.

You can advertise on your WhatsApp status and Instagram for free. And I would also place a few ads in the BP Weekly or the Voice.

Start with cost of supplies. I’ve done paint nights with my family and it wasn’t cheap. Then figure your time.

I would do cost of supplies x 15-20%
+ min 75-100/hour.

So if supplies are $50. And you are there 1.5 hours $210.

Or you can charge per person with a minimum.

I'm not in Lakewood but my girls would love it! No live courses now where I live.

I think WhatsApp is a free good place to start and classifieds. You better believe people actually read it.

Thank you! Do most paint nights charge a set price or per person?
