Redo our kitchen and upgrade our outside area (we are in Israel and with roughly 40k shekels that could go far)

Well, I would get landscaping since I’m the only house on the block with dried out dead grass and overgrown weeds...
Maybe some bedroom furniture for my kids who are using plastic drawers...

But that’s me, not you.

Easy question for me.

Pay off two small loans.
Get some dental work done, and a hearing aid.
Put the rest in savings.

B'H, I have enough "stuff", I don't feel like I need treats. Security means more to me than a vacation right now.

For better or for worse this is basically my life. Our income is not steady, it can be a week or a few months until we get the next check, and it’s usually 10k. It’s not “extra” though it’s what we live off.

I would save it probably. Maybe I would put it towards landscaping for my house .... New construction so no gorgeous landscaping.

I am in similar situation, except it was 5k. The money is sitting in the bank. We really need a car, but we dont have the rest of the money right now to purchase one.

If you end up finding healing after therapy then it’s worth every penny

Prob spend some and put some away. 10k is nice but it goes very quickly..
I need new beds in my master and a new wig. Rest I'd put in savings..

In your situation, OP, I'd put it in a specific fund marked for using on something that isn't absolutely necessary but would make life a lot better. It might be an object that would make a big quality of life increase, or an extracurricular that would make a big difference in a kid's life. It might be an upgrade to a therapist who charges more but is a lot better.

Try to make a dent in my son’s tuition. That’s my biggest expense right now!

70 - 75% of it in savings towards a down payment
the rest to go on a desperately needed vacation
