my expenses (especially tuition) are growing faster than my salary.

therefore, im trying to lower my monthly expenses.

right now, I have att around $86 (after taxes/fees) a month
for 2 gig data and unlimited talk and text...its good service...

I am looking for cheap cell phone plans.

I use data(1 gig or 2 gig is enough), but my dh doesnt use data.

im looking for unlimited talk and text.

I heard of "tello" which is very cheap for unlimited talk n text (no data)
but it uses sprint(t mobile) towers and my dh says it is not so reliable.

I figured since a lot of ppl are on this site, maybe ppl can share some
plans that save money.(I figured maybe some ppl know of plans that I dont know.)

can you pls share your plan and price? and, if you used a plan that was not
good service, please share as well.

ETA: I live in queens.

thank you.

I’ve been using Tello for a few months and I’m fine with it. Talk and text only. No data.

Where do you live? Different plans work in different areas.
I use pageplus. $30 a month for unlimited talk and text, and a certain amount of data but I'm not sure how much as I don't use it. It works very well for me.

Verizon prepaid is cheaper, though not by much - we're $76.80 or so after taxes for two phones, 2 gig data on both, unlimited talk and text.

You may want to join with others and check out the Cricket family plan. Im not sure what it costs now, but when I joined it was 5 people for about $100, I think unlimited talk and text, and plenty of data.

Came on here to post this. I think the plan they offer now is $100 for 4 lines. They offer unlimited data, but after 5 GB the data slows down. It's on the AT&T network. I do have to say that I find that the service is not so reliable in certain places. Somehow, in some doctors' offices, for some reason, and I know people in the Brooklyn area who tried out the plan but gave it up because they did not have reliable service in their home. But it works for me. The occasional times I don't have service still don't happen often enough for me to want to give it up.

Straight Talk and Simple Mobile are cheaper plans than the major carriers.

Mint has been very good for me. Runs on T-Mobile network. Different plans depending on how much you prepay and how much data you want. Supports WiFi calling so you don't need to use data.

So for unlimited talk and text and 3 GB data, it's like $15 a month I think...
