We've been using Mission cooling gaiters.
Work great as they're designed to keep you cool. But make sure you keep them wet, when they dry, they're hard to breathe through.

I found the company. They look cool (no pun intended).
Do you order straight from mission or is there a cheaper source?
How wet do you need to get them?
How quickly do they dry /need to be dampened?
Do they make your skin wet?
Thanks!

You soak it, and then wring it out. Your skin gets damp. Depends on weather how quickly they dry out. Around 2 hours. (Can be less). But you just wet it again.

some of these look great but what is the point if they do not filter out the virus?

They save you from a 500 NIS fine.
The government wants masks/face coverings because any sort of face covering seems to reduce transmission. They don't care what. My priority is finding g something comfortable enough to wear while complying with regulations.
Something that I can wear, even if it provides minimal filtration, is still more effective than something that provides stronger filtration but is so uncomfortable that I take it off every other minute.

I have silk! It’s a very pretty plaid, I’m going to try making some from it.
Thanks ladies!

The silk mask posted doesn't ship to Israel at all.
I'm going to check on AliExpress. Amazon has gotten impossible.

Thanks to all!
Here's what we ended up with (we tried them yesterday at six flags):
Lightweight Masks
These are very light & breathable. We even got some compliments because they are so pretty. Both of my girls wore them & they were thrilled. (fwiw the extra hanging piece of fabric is a bit weird & did almost make them look possibly muslim)
Cooling Gator
I wore this gator and wristbands & it made a huge difference! Easy to breathe and definitely kept me cooler. (It took time to figure out the best way to wear it with my snood/pretied but once I realized that I should leave the snood inside it-otherwise it pushes it down & it keeps falling off my face- it was great). My daughter wrapped the towel over her head and also found it helpful (definitely added to the muslim impression )
Mask with Matching sun hat
I wore the hat from this one & it was great! Very light & it kept the sun off my face. Back of hat brim is just fabric-nothing to hold it firm- so it covers the back of your head/neck without making it difficult to lean back against a seat, etc. The mask has an interesting design, it has a slit- the top piece slightly overlaps the bottom at the seem (between your nose and mouth). I haven't worn it yet but it seems light and it was easy to breathe when I tried it on. Also the extra fabric piece on this mask has a snap so you can wrap it around your neck- also great for sun protection. (ETA depending on your personality/comfort levels, this hat could possibly be used as a hair covering. I didn't because I knew I wouldn't want to keep it on the whole time and I wasn't sure it was fully covered, but definitely has potential)
