My teenage son (academically fine) has a very hard time tolerating people Chewing loudly near him. He Also won’t eat food if he thinks any of siblings breathed on it or sneezed near it (but if me or dh is fine). So I’m not sure if it’s a control issue or Something else. He doesn’t like when siblings turn on music or story cds (even if it’s in their room - he claims He can hear it ) But if he decides to Turn it on he has no issue. He’s quite sensitive. He Tears up easily at things. I don’t know where to Turn. He gets worse and worse as the years Go on. Any suggestions ?Always picks fights with siblings but never sees it as his fault. At school he behaves perfectly.
Any ideas?

Sounds like ocd, misophonia, brain inflammation, probably from sub clinical strep and or Lyme disease. I would take him to a functional medical dr .

I also can't handle when people (even my dear children) chew loudly or make certain sounds. Its sensory. Also when they slurp the soup from the spoon, instead of taking the spoon into the mouth.
I get sooo nervous at chewingamd slurping, that I make them stop eating that way or just cringe and leave the room...
