Luray Caverns - highly recommended! Otherwise, mostly hiking in the park. If you're in good shape and up for a real workout, check out the Old Rag hike.

Depending on the ages of your kids... there’s a garden maze and a ropes course by luray caverns. There’s always skyline drive and all the hikes there. Again depending on your kids ages there’s a really great farm about an hour away. Called great country farms I think, in bluemont, VA. Not a regular farm, google it. Horseback riding, fishing, boating, mountain biking etc.

I was assuming Luray Caverns were still closed for covid, but I just checked and they are open. They are amazing and beautiful and worth it, but there is a risk factor in caves that you can assess on your own. We liked the maze outside of the caverns; it's a good way to pass the time until your tour time. And it's not too hard.
Skyline Drive is nice for when you want to see everything without the work, or if it's very hot. The caverns are good for a hot day too.

Thank you. Anyone know which hikes are stroller friendly and easy? Our priority is to see the waterfalls, not the hike itself. Lol.

Thanks. Any other ideas? We don't love hiking but we'd love the scenery. Anyone went recently and can share ideas for itinerary/activities?
Thanks!

This goes for all national parks- when you get to the first ranger station, pick up the Junior Ranger activity books. They are great for focusing your visit to the park and after completing the required activities and answering some questions, your kids can get junior ranger badges from a park ranger. It’s an exciting goal to work towards
