I know that this sounds very silly, but there is something that I loved about eating takeout chinese out of those cardboard boxes/containers. Now it seems like every place that I go to either uses plastic containers or foil pans. Can anyone recommend a kosher chinese restaurant that still uses those boxes for takeout? Willing to travel up to 2 hours...

I went somewhere last summer in Hillside nj and I believe they served the food in the paper cartons.
Love the cartons too. I actually bought a pack to have in my house.

Prime avenue in crown heights. I bought Chinese last week but they didn’t put my takeout in those white boxes, (and I also LOVE them) so I requested 2 takeout boxes and they gave me with chopsticks

Yes! I guess it was Elizabeth. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend because it didn’t seem like such a kosher place even though it had a hechsher...

It’s a kosher place. And it’s one of the best tasting kosher Chinese food.

Maybe you can buy cardboard containers and just buy food wherever is convenient?
