How do I apply for Medicaid in NYS?
What are the income limits and where can I find them? Can you have money in the bank?
Both my husband and I are no longer employed now. But we do have some savings (not much considering). No idea how to apply.
We are NOT in Brooklyn or NYC.
Any help in explaining this or links would be appreciated.

This page should have a chart with the income levels. Yes, you can have money and savings and still be eligible. You can apply through the NY state health marketplace.

They don't look at assets or savings, only at income. Call the marketplace to sign up. Double check with your doctors to see which plans they accept, before you call, since you'll have to choose a plan. I think HealthFirst is most widely accepted, but do your research
