HELP I am so bad at this. Please help us find a swimming hole/ water hole or waterfall hike near our airbnb in Stanley, Virginia or on our way home to Baltimore, MD. Must be an easy hike (prefer stroller friendly!) or no hike (right off a parking lot).

Look up monkton tubing. I haven’t been there in years. They have bike and tube rental. It’s a lazy river you hike to an entry point and float down in a tube. (One of my favorite trips as a kid/teen). Near Baltimore.

Not super stroller friendly, but there is a parking lot (look for directions to the swinging bridge) nearby.

Not a swimming hole, but good water for wading in, with a paved trail parallel to the creek. I park on a residential street then take connector path to the trail.

In Virginia, I went in the water with kids but there is a hilly dirt trail parallel to the creek. Not stroller friendly. I parked near the chain bridge.

Also no waterfall, but a fun creek to wade in:
Rock Creek Park in Washington DC
It’s a large park with a loooong creek that goes up north into Rockville, MD.
Another place where we park in a residential area and take connector path to a trail:
