I'm looking to buy a new blender, something strong but for a reasonable price. I mostly use it to make smoothies using frozen fruits, so it can't be something that will get stuck on a piece of frozen banana or strawberry.

Which product would you recommend?

I find this style works way better for smoothies with frozen fruits then regular blenders of similar price range

The bullets are good. I love the Vitamix but it’s not in the affordable range. I use it to make soups and sauces and in place of a hand mixer.

This is what I had until now, and I wasn't happy enough to buy it again. The motor doesn't hold up, the rubber on the underside of the blades gets burned off, and the cups are too small.

This is what I have - it lasts about 3 years used daily to make smoothies. I am very happy with it.

Thanks! I really need something with a larger capacity to make smoothies for multiple family members at a time.

I have a stick blender which I mostly use for smoothies and for pureeing soups and sauces. I really like it a lot. Mine came with a beaker so that I can make the smoothie right ine container and drink from there if I want. Never misses anything and it also is wonderfully convenient since soups and sauces can be pureed in the pan.

Ninja is best for this. They have double blades so everything gets crushed. Highly recommend

Ninja prep is inexpensive but very strong, easy to clean, and has a large pitcher.

So I have had mine at least 7-8 years so my model is now officially outdated but very similar to this ( I got 2 different sized pitchers and the small "bowl" while this has the bowl and the bigger pitcher.) Should be fine and close enough to what I have. My kids constantly crush ice in it and make iced coffee and it's not showing any signs of distress. I love how the motor goes on top so there's no opening at all on the bottom for leaking issues and the blades come out for easy, safe cleaning...

Update: I got a Kitchen Aid that's now on sale in Costco, originally 200, now selling for 160. It looks good and strong. The base is a bit heavier than I'd like for easy removal from the cabinet, but it works like a horse, so I guess that's the tradeoff.
