Of course not. Is there something wrong if it turns out that there's no reference to deja vu in the Torah?

Did I say there would be? I wouldn't be disappointed. Again, (deja Vu?) I'm just curious. I have no bets on this in either direction. We can just talk.

This is fun!

Maybe it's a 'remez' in a pasuk where it says 'he saw' twice? Or heard twice?

That sounds interesting!

The Malach teaches us the entire Torah inside the womb. So when we learn something, we actually learned it once already.

I get deja vu all the time.
The most interesting theory I've read about it is your brain actually shuts down or goes "offline" for a hairbreadth of a second so when it comes back that's deja vu.

Good one! Also I once learned that our neshama chooses the parents and life they are born into. Maybe there's a smidge of deja Vu there too?

Also interesting! It also seems to explain that feeling of intuition that people have.

We all know what it is. But why do you need to have it referenced in Torah to be real?
Because everything can be found in the Torah.

Not everything is meant to be understood literally.

That is very accurate. It still doesn't take away the fact that every 'chochmah' in the world can be found in the Torah. I'll try to do some research and find out about de ja vu.

When Paroh dreamed about the 7 cows, 7 stalks of wheat, he also dreamed the interpretation. He remembered the story part but forgot the interpretation. Different advisers offered interpretations but he rejected them. When Yosef gave his interpretation about 7 years of satiety/hunger, Paroh knew that was it because he subconsciously recognized it from his dream.
Does that fit?

Yes!!! Definitely experienced it multiple times before. Have had dreams of random everyday-type situations with certain people, scenarios, etc., and have had those exact situations months or years later.

This happens to me all the time. Is it normal? What is it? Gives me a creepy feeling.

So I asked my cousin this question. And he said exactly this answer! He said there's something called a reshimus (I may have heard him wrong, kids were kinda loud). Anyway the malach leaves an impression on us. So we forget everything but it is still part of us.

So I said yeah but your talking about learning Torah. Like "oh wait I think I knew that already " and he said yes but also deja Vu the way I know it, because the Torah you learn is you. It's your life. It's connected.
