By mistake the oven was on too high.
My challah came out the oven with a too hard crust.
Is there any way I can save it and make the crust softer.

You can put it in a bag immediately but that can cause the crust to become a little soggy.
I love crust!

Perhaps have a pan of water in the oven while you heat it on low for a few minutes?

If it's already cooled, you can gently rewarm it and then put it into a bag.

LOL. That explains the name! And I see that you already explained the Avatar.
I love crunchy crust too, BTW!

For those of you who love crunchy crust, but not dried-out challah, the key is to bake it like usual and then put it on the plata a half hour to an hour before the meal. Gets crunchy on the outside without overbaking the challah. And it's waaaaaaarm.

Most of my family prefers soft crust.
Anyway I can still soften it before I give it on Friday night.
