Is this Embassy Suites?
It’s closed until further notice.

The one is Parsnippany is closed until further note, but it says the one in Piscataway is open.
Look at their ad.

How does a hotel know if you have a hotplate/warmer? We usually use a crock pot. I've never had a problem. If they outright said it is not allowed that is a different story.

True and they dont give off much heat.
But you do need to make sure that the hotel is shabos friendly

If you go to a place that gives you a small kitchenette you can cook and use whatever appliances you want.
Hyatt House and Residence Inn both have full kitchen areas in each room. Can't see myself ever going again to a regular hotel for shabbos.

Perhaps that would be an idea instead of a hotel. |
Any info you have on this? Would love to do it with my family

You need to bring your own food and toys. Everyone eats in their room. There's nothing much to do in the hotel over shabbos, they advise you to bring along toys and games.

So people do it just for a change of scenery then?
Are the rooms nice, since if we go we'll be spending lots of time there?

Hmmm... it sounds like this is just in existence so people can say they went to a hotel for shabbos... what is fun about this? Everyone sleeping in small space, eating in their rooms and then going home.. 🤷♀️
Maybe for a couple to just go away and relax but I don’t see how it’s relaxing with kids.
(Disclaimer: I’m a real homebody)
