There are 6 shuls.
YI is the main shul (has a 2nd location), was original shul, mara deasrah of the Community is the rabbi there, geographically is pretty much in the center.
Eitz chayim
Anshei shalom
Chabad
BTU
(Smaller Chabad)

MO - runs the spectrum from more modern (coed education) to more right leaning yeshivish (sends to single gender schools)
Obviously it has gotten larger over the years, but could be out of town feel With intown conveniences close enough ( Ie 5towns, queens - more school choices, more supermarkets, clothing about 20-30 mins away ). Bh we have a butcher/supermarket , well stocked general Supermarket, 2 pizza stores, 2 bagel, 1 Chinese, 1 fleshig restaurant.

In regards to more expensive within a mile of the yi- WH is only around 2 miles and the yi is pretty central so within the Eruv its not typical to be further then a 1.25 mile away from the shul. (There are a few Franklin sq close to eitz chayim, but it’s not such a large number)
